Reflections on a Landmark Year of Exhibitions
Q (second half of Lee’s sixth question): What does exhibiting in so many shows in 2025 mean for you as an artist?
This year has been a whirlwind—exhibiting from Basel to London, receiving critical acclaim from Lee Sharrock, joining international platforms like Artsy and Artnet, and seeing my works travel from the Underground to Mall Galleries.
But what stands out most is not the prestige of the names. It is the sense of dialogue—my art meeting strangers in unexpected spaces. Thunder in a collector’s home, Hypnosis drifting on a digital wall in BobCat’s Shadow & Shade, River Melody in Sheffield, Desire at Oxford Circus—each encounter is different, yet each proves to me that painting remains a universal language.
Exhibitions are milestones, but they are also mirrors. They reflect back to me how audiences respond: with curiosity, recognition, sometimes silence, sometimes wonder. That exchange is invaluable—it sharpens my vision and strengthens my commitment to creating art that is both personal and resonant.
If 2025 has taught me anything, it’s that my art can live in many places and still carry its soul.
