Coming Soon: Shadow and Shade – A Virtual Exhibition at BobCat Gallery

I’m thrilled to share that two of my artworks — Hypnosis and Day Blazed — have been selected for inclusion in BobCat Gallery’s upcoming virtual exhibition, Shadow and Shade. Running from 6th to 31st October, this thoughtfully curated show dives into the compelling contrasts between light and darkness, comfort and fear, and the spaces we inhabit in between.

Founder and curator Catherine Sweet describes the exhibition as a celebration of both the literal and metaphorical power of shadows and shade — not as absence, but as presence. A place for reflection, tension, transformation.

This duality resonates deeply with both of my featured works:

🎨 Hypnosis invites viewers into an immersive and introspective state — an abstract underwater world where light flickers just beneath the surface, questioning what’s hidden and what’s revealed.
🔥 Day Blazed, by contrast, burns with the raw intensity of sunlight and emotion, capturing the moments when illumination is almost too much to bear.

Together, they express a journey across inner landscapes — from stillness to fire, from shade to blaze.

The exhibition opens virtually on the BobCat Gallery homepage, with a Curator’s Tour on Monday 6th October at 6:30pm, hosted by Catherine herself. You can book free tickets here:
